Cinnamon Donuts & Maple cinnamon icing
These donuts are a super delicious low cal treat!
Note: I used a mini donut maker, but you can cook the batter in a waffle maker, or a donut tray that bakes in the oven.
Ingredients:
Donut Batter:
1/3 cup (45g) Almond Flour (for lower calories it can be substituted for oat flour)
1/4 (60g) cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 tsp (4g) Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp (0.6g) Cinnamon
1 tbsp (12g) 0 calorie sweetener (add more if you would like it to be sweeter)
1 egg white
2 tbsp (18g) almond milk
Icing:
2 tbsp (28g) Greek Yogurt
1 tsp (5g) Maple Syrup
1 tsp (4g) Almond Milk
dash of vanilla extract
dash of cinnamon
Directions:
Step #1:
Combine donut batter ingredients and mix well.
Step #2:
Using your mini donut maker, waffle maker, or a donut tray that bakes in the oven, bake the donuts until they are fully cooked - If you use an oven tray preheat your oven to 350°F.
Step #3:
While your donuts are preparing whisk your icing ingredients in a small bowl.
Step #5
Once the donuts have cooled for a few minutes dip each donut into the icing and sprinkle them with some more cinnamon

Calories per donut will depend on your donut maker/ tray shape, so I included the total calories for the donuts and the icing. Divide the total icing and the total donut calories by the amount of donuts that you make in order to get the calories per donut.
